From its humble beginnings in 2008, the Cyprus Gourmet Project has grown into a print and electronic publishing venture that currently includes the Cyprus Gourmet Magazine, the Cyprus Gourmet Weekly pages in the Financial Mirror and this website. Following co-founder Patrick Skinner’s return to UK in September 2011, the editor’s responsibilities have been handed over to Matthew Stowell who had just returned to Limassol after a brief sojourn in the U.S.
May 2012 will also see the 3rd annual Cyprus Gourmet Wine Awards where the 50 Best Wines of Cyprus are rewarded with Gold, Silver and Bronze medals, based on our readers’ choice and completed with the final votes of an independent jury, members of the Cyprus Sommeliers Association.
The Cyprus Gourmet also sponsored Florentia Kythreotou’s “2012 Cyprus Wine Guide” pocket book in Greek, which we hope to have translated in future editions.
