Fattoria Del Cerro Vino Nobile Di Montepulciano 2007

Description
Fattoria Del Cerro Vino Nobile Di Montepulciano 2007, Tuscany, Italy, 13% alc.
This is a good introduction to the wines of Tuscany, made in one of the most beautiful towns in the area. Nicely constructed of a blend of Sangiovese (the most widely grown grape in Italy), Colorino and Mammolo, it has a medium-light body, smooth texture, soft tannins, good acidity, a hint of toastiness and, along with the tastes of cherries and red berries, it exhibits some suggestion of Mediterranean spices. This is a basic Montepulciano yet a step up from the Rosso and it pairs very well with all foods Italian, especially salami and pecorino cheeses. Allow 30 minutes to an hour to breathe.
